Located after the beach of Rio Vermelho, Amaralina is frequented by swimmers and surfers from Salvador. The sea has large stones that have arisen over the years. At certain times of the year, part of the beach is full of seaweed and coral pools creating a unique vision. In the long strip of white and soft sand you can practice soccer and beach volleyball, while in the water sport fishing is advisable. The sea bathing is mainly indicated in the section next to the kiosk Baianas as in other parts of the beach the waves tend to be strong, that is more suitable for surfers. In 2005 the site was revitalized and several improvements were implemented. The edge is formed by various shops, apartments and an avenue where they spend hundreds of vehicles every day. The beach is skirted by a boardwalk and some stretches have arranged benches and palm trees on the waterfront. Some vendors sell a wide variety of products to bathers visiting the region. The most famous point is the Kiosk of Baianas, well known in Salvador for offering delicious typical dishes of local cuisine. Amaralina
