The name Stella Maris is of Latin origin, means starfish, but the eponymous name of the neighborhood and the beach is due to the ruins of a hotel that was never built. Considered one of the cleanest beaches of Salvador, Stella Maris is lined with condominiums, several summer houses and hotels. Also, it is just minutes from the city airport. With a visual paradise, the place is surrounded by a beautiful coconut trees and native vegetation. In the white and soft sand are arranged several beach huts that are extremely inviting for those who are walking with family and friends. There is a river passing through the sand and head towards the beach giving an interior climate. The open sea is beautiful shades of green and its strong waves are used by practitioners of surfing and bodyboarding. In the summer the area is trendy and several luaus healthy organized on this beach.   Stella Maris
