Located in Barra, this incredible beach starts from Forte de Santo Antonio da Barra, known as Farol da Barra, and ends on the hill of Christ, where there is an image of Christ the Redeemer. The Lighthouse, built in 1627, is the Nautical Museum of Bahia. The tourist spot is open to public tours where tourists and residents can check the entire structure (equivalent to a seven-storey building). By staying in a very urban area, the place is full of tourists who enjoy a sunny day on the beach and staying until the time of the beautiful setting of the sun. For those who enjoy exercise, there is a jogging track that runs along the strip of sand to. Several rocks and strong waves do not take many sunbathers to the sea, but by its characteristics, is quite popular with surfers and stand up paddle. At low tide the baths are more frequent because some beach spots are protected by reefs creating pools. Some tents are arranged on the sand and on weekends sand auction visitors. During the night the place remains intense pace and many people frequent the restaurants and bars located near the beach.
